This rear brake upgrade kit allows you to convert your older VW Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, or Polo 6N to a modern solid rear wheel bearing and disc brake setup, replacing the original tapered cone-style bearing system used on early models like the Mk1 Golf.
The kit uses precision-cut 6mm mild steel plated brackets and T6 aluminium spacers for lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. It’s designed to work with Mk2/Mk3 rear calipers and 230mm solid rear discs, offering a durable and performance-focused solution.
Compatible with both 4/100 and 5/100 PCD setups depending on the hub and disc you choose.

⚠️ Note:
This kit does not fit South African Mk1 Caddys with the RSA-specific 6-bolt stub axle. It is compatible with USA-spec Caddys and all Mk1/2/3 cars using standard stub axles.
✅ A rear brake bias valve is recommended to balance front/rear brake force.
